biome · the trophic web — a Venn of three habitats, one intermingled food web

The maximalist closed ecology, drawn as a living graph — a Venn diagram of three overlapping habitats: the terrestrial web, the lake, and the chthonic soil web. Each web's organisms sit in its private crescent; the two cross-web couplers live in the overlap lenses — a marsh frog (tadpoles graze the lake, adults eat soil springtails) in lake∩soil, and a farmed duck (duckweed + crop) in lake∩land — and the shared pools (air · N · detritus · larder) cluster in the triple-overlap centre, where all three webs meet.
