biome · food-web builder — design a web, read its stability

An open workbench on the same element-exact engine. Add producers and animals, wire who-eats-whom, set a harvest — and watch, live, whether the loop closes (air holds, the crew is fed, nobody goes extinct) and whether it survives a shock (the community-matrix eigenvalues). Animal rates are derived from body mass (Kleiber allometry), so you set a mass and a guild, not eight numbers. Your design rides entirely in the URL — copy the link to display your web to anyone.  → land web · lake · global · stability lab

Your food web — node = species (size ∝ standing biomass), arrow = eats

producer herbivore / pollinator carnivore detritivore / detritus omnivore

Eigenvalue spectrum (per day)

Each dot is an eigenvalue of the community matrix. Left of the dashed line is stable (shocks decay); the rightmost dot is the verdict. Height = oscillation.

Community matrix — ∂(growthᵢ)/∂(biomassⱼ)

green + (j helps i), red − (j harms i). Diagonal = self-regulation.

Keystones — who moves the web when pressed (normalised)

From −J⁻¹ (Bender press perturbation): a long bar ⇒ pressing that species ripples far.

Populations over ~500 days (each scaled to its own peak)
